NAPA, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis contingent closed out its stay at the Napa Valley Collegiate Invitational on Sunday by winning two singles matches and a doubles match at the Silverado Resort.

The Rebels faced players from Idaho in four singles matches and earned victories from Willie Sublette, 6-0, 6-2 over Cesar Torres; and Jeff Vongman, 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6) over Andre Zedde.

UNLV also split its two doubles matches vs. Arizona. Sublette and Tamas Batyi outlasted Kieren Thompson and Sumeet Shinde, 8-7.

"It was great to see Willie and Jeff end the weekend with wins in singles and Tamas and Willie win a tough doubles match," head coach Owen Hambrook said. "This was a great event at an unbelievable venue. We want to say a big Thank You to our housing hosts Teresa Tony and Aurelien as well as Coach Udwadia from Oklahoma State and Jacob Hansen from the Silverado Resort for organizing the event."

The Rebels' next action will come at the ITA All-American in Tulsa at the end of the month.
