LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Both of UNLV's doubles teams still alive lost their match Sunday during the final day of the 12th annual Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships being played at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Competing in the consolation semifinals, the duo of Lucia Batta and Santa Shumilina lost 6-0 to 16th-ranked Taylor Davidson and Ellen Tsay of Stanford while Alexis Garrett and Anett Ferenczi-Bako fell 6-1 to Marianne Jodoin and Rachel Kahan of Duke.

The event's impressive field boasted 12 of the nation's top-50 ranked individuals in singles and two of the sport's top-three ranked doubles teams. In the main draw, top-ranked Robin Anderson of UCLA reached the Sunday's final but was unable to play because of sickness. That gave 94th-ranked Ellen Tsay of Stanford the 2014 crown in singles. In doubles, the third-seeded and seventh-ranked duo of Zoe Scandalis and Giuliana Olmos of USC defeated Kyle McPhillips and Catherine Harrison of cross-town rival UCLA, 6-4, for the title.

Next up, UNLV will open dual-match play by traveling to Berkeley, Calif., for the annual ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Rebels will face Washington on Friday starting at 1 p.m.
