EUGENE, Ore. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team was shut out 7-0 by 50th-ranked Oregon Sunday playing indoors at the Student Tennis Center.

The Rebels have now lost four straight matches to drop to 4-4 while the Ducks improved to 9-1.

Oregon began the day by earning a tense doubles point after taking two of three matches, including winning at the top of the lineup using a tiebreaker. UNLV's lone victory came on court three where Tamas Batyi and Dimitar Petrov combined to outlast Daniel Sardu and Jayson Amos 8-7 with a 13-11 tiebreaker.

In singles, the Ducks won easily on five courts to clinch it. The only drama came at the No. 1 spot where 114th-ranked Robin Cambier had to win two tiebreakers to fight off Rebel standout Ace Matias, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (8-6).

UNLV is next in action on Thursday when it plays California in a neutral-site matchup in San Diego.

"We had a tough weekend playing indoors and Oregon was just too good today," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "We have to regroup and get ready for another road test down in San Diego."
