Amilon Ends Time In Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV junior Jakob Amilon saw his winning streak come to an end in the second round of singles qualifying at the 2015 St. Francis Health Systems ITA Men's Tennis All-American Championships being played at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Amilon fell to 12th-seeded Joao Monteiro of Virginia Tech on Tuesday, 6-2, 6-3, to settle his final record at the event at 5-1.

"Jakob had a great run at one of the toughest tournaments in the country and proved he is capable of playing among the best of our college game," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "We look forward to seeing what he can do this season."
