LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team lost the doubles point by the slimmest of margins en route to dropping a 4-3 match to Pacific among unseasonably warm temperatures at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday.

The Rebels fell to 1-3 while the Tigers improved to 3-0.

The teams split the first two completed doubles matches, including a 6-2 win at No. 2 by Iren Kotseva and Santa Shumilina over Regina Suarez and Francis Dean. UOP, however, earned the key overall team point by taking a 7-6 victory at the top of the lineup.

In singles, the teams split the six matches. UNLV got its points from Anett Ferenczi-Bako, 6-4, 0-6, 7-5, over Iveta Masarova at No. 2; Kotseva, 6-3, 6-1, over Dean at No. 3; and Paola Artiga, 6-2, 7-5, over Christina Ferrari at No. 4.

The Rebels will complete the weekend homestand by hosting New Mexico State, starting with doubles, at 10 a.m. Admission is free of charge.
