Kamdem Named Winner Of Weekly UNLV Honor

Sept. 16, 2015 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's soccer senior Bradley Kamdem has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.

The new award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.

A native of Paris, France, Kamdem was a key member of the Rebel backline that allowed just one goal total in wins over Mercer (2-0) and Bradley (4-1) en route to the Holiday Inn Express Invitational tournament title. He made just as big an impact on offense, scoring a goal in each game to give him two for the weekend, which doubled his career total.

The first score game against Mercer, off a free kick from 20-yards out in the 87th minute to give UNLV a comfortable 2-0 edge. He closed out the win over Bradley with a length-of-the-field run and shot from just inside the box that found the back of the net in the 90th minute.

Kamdem was named the WAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
