LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Men's Swimming senior Tom Paco-Pedrino has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.

The senior from Nice, France, returned to action in dual meets at Utah and BYU last weekend for the first time this season after redshirting the entire 2015-16 academic year. Paco-Pedroni finished first in four of five individual events and second in the fifth event over the two meets. His 100 free time is ranked sixth in the nation, while his winning time in the 50 free against Utah is tied for 22nd fastest in the nation and is a 'B' cut. The senior swimmer also anchored the 400 free relay team that beat BYU with a time of 2:49.47 -- the 21st fastest time in the country in the event this year.

Paco-Pedroni and the men's and women's swim and dive teams will be back in action Nov. 17-19 at the Mizzou Invite in Columbia, Missouri.
