O'Hara, a Copenhagen, Denmark native, had a storied career at UNLV from 2007-2011, when she was the first Rebel to earn All-Mountain West honors all four years of her career and at the time was just the fourth player in Mountain West history to accomplish the feat. As a senior in 2011, she was named the Mountain West Golfer of the Year the same week she won the league tournament. She also became the first player in program history to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American after she garnered the honors in 2011.
O'Hara and Finkelstein are two of the best to ever play at UNLV, so it is fitting that the two will compete together at the highest level of women's professional golf.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - For the first time ever, UNLV Women's Golf will have two former standouts compete on the LPGA Tour at the same time as Therese Koelbaek O'Hara 11' will join Dana Finkelstein '15 on the 2017 tour after earning her card on Sunday in Daytona Beach at the final stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament.
The former three-time All-American at UNLV shot a 6-under, 66 on Sunday to move from T30 to T8 to earn her card for the second time in her professional career. She previously qualified for the tour back in 2014, also via Q-School.
"I hit all the shots I wanted to and the putter was hotter than ever," said O'Hara via Symetra Tour. "This has to be one of the best rounds of my life, especially in this wind it was not easy."
Prior to the final tournament, O'Hara was considering hanging up the clubs if she wasn't able to play well enough to make the LPGA tour again.
"I wasn't sure if I wanted to give it another year on the Symetra Tour," said O'Hara, who finished 23rd on the Symetra Tour money list this year. "I knew if I didn't qualify it might be time to call it quits, but I guess I answered that question."
