Feb. 10, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's high jumper Kaysee Pilgrim has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday. Pilgrim becomes the second UNLV student-athlete this year to win the weekly award for a second time, joining men's basketball's Patrick McCaw.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.
Pilgrim jumped a program- and personal-best height of 6-0 (1.83m) to rewrite UNLV's indoor mark for the second time this season. She finished first with the performance at this past weekend's New Mexico Collegiate Classic & Multis to also win the Mountain West Field Athletes of the Week. The measurement stands as the fourth-best all-time in the MW annals; this season it ranks first overall and 11th in the country.
