LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Men's tennis team rounded out a strong home performance by defeating UC Riverside 6-1 on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The win completed a doubleheader sweep on the day.

The Rebels improved to 4-1 while the Highlanders fell to 2-7.

UNLV won in doubles to secure the team point. Jakob Amilon and Ruben Alberts defeated Kyle McCann and Sean Yun 6-2 at the number one spot and Adam Gage-Brown and Evaldo Neto downed Hans Baumstark and Anderson Ju 6-2 at the third position.

In singles, the hosts swept five matches.

Amilon defeated Julian Ruffin 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1; Alexandr Cozbinov downed Yun 6-3,6-2 at No. 2; Alberts beat McCann 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3; Gage-Brown rolled past Sean Robles 6-1, 7-6 at No. 4; and Richard Solberg defeated Ju 6-4, 6-2 on court 5.
