LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's tennis' Aiwen Zhu has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.

Zhu helped her team set a school record for consecutive wins at 17-0 on the season this past weekend with victories over Oklahoma and Montana. Against Oklahoma, she upset 84th-ranked Emma Devine, 6-3, 6-2, and then she won at both No. 1 doubles and singles vs. Montana.

Zhu was also named Mountain West Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season.
