San Luis Obispo, Calif. - The UNLV men's tennis team saw its four-match win streak scratched after being downed by No. 73 ranked Cal Poly 5-2 on Monday at the Mustang Courts.

The Rebels fell to 9-7 while the Mustangs clinched their fourth-straight match to improve to 12-8.

Cal Poly opened up by taking the two completed doubles matches for the team point.

In singles, UNLV started to bounce back after Evaldo Neto downed Josh Ortlip, 6-1, 6-0, at the fourth spot to tie the match at one. The Mustangs, however, regained the lead after winning two straight matches at the middle and top of the lineup. The final point scored for the Rebels was at No. 2 after Alexandr Cozbinov took a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Garrett Auproux. The sophomore has now won five consecutive matches to improve to 16-6 in singles.

Next up, the Rebels hope to stay undefeated in Conference play as they are set to face Mountain West rival Utah State on the road on Friday starting at 10 a.m. PT.
