LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV cross country program opens its 2016 season in Flagstaff, Arizona at Northern Arizona's George Kyte Classic Saturday. The women will partake in a 2.6-mile race, which is slated for a 2:30 pm start at Buffalo Park.

Arizona, Arizona State, Benedictine University, Dine College, Dixie State, Embry-Riddle Arizona University, Estrella Mountain CC, Glendale CC, Grand Canyon, Navajo Tech, Pima CC, and Western New Mexico will be competing against the Rebels and Lumberjacks.

UNLV will send five returning runners Mandy Chitwood, Lindy Eskin, Spencer Moore, Sara Williams and Angela Ziff as well as three newcomers Kennedy Allen, Caitlin Amburgey and Nicole Snow to the afternoon meet.

Saturday will be the only instance the Rebels travels east of the Silver State this season. They will journey mostly to California with one race in Boise, Idaho for the Mountain West Championships.
