LOS ANGELES (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team posted a 5-2 win in a road match with Loyola Marymount Thursday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Center.

The Rebels improved to 5-2 on the year while the Lions improved to 2-4. The match was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday but was moved up to avoid incoming rainstorms. Another UNLV match scheduled for Saturday, against Hawai'i, was canceled.

The Lions grabbed a quick 1-0 lead by taking the two doubles matches. UNLV fell 6-1 at No.1 and lost 7-6 on court two.

In singles, the Rebels rallied to win five of six matches. Jakob Amilon defeated Nick Borchenko 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1; Alexandr Cozbinov got by Max Kaiser 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 at No. 2; Ruben Alberts outlasted Kolaric Lukas Moenter 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3; Courtney Lock defeated Luke Bohuslav 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 at No. 5; and Richard Solberg beat Ruben Blattner 6-1, 6-4 at the bottom of the lineup.

UNLV will have break before returning to the courts on March 10 to host Boston College at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
