LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team lost 4-1 to fifth-ranked Oklahoma State on a hot Friday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in match that was much closer than the final score indicated.
The Rebels fell to 8-3 while the Cowboys improved to 14-3 and extended their win streak to six. OSU began the day by taking both completed doubles matches for a 1-0 lead.
Moving to singles, Oklahoma State won on three courts to clinch it but UNLV got its point when Alexandr Cozbinov upset No. 54-ranked Arjun Kadhe at the second position, 6-4, 6-3. Two other Rebels also won their first set but saw their matches halted before completion: Ruben Alberts on court three vs. 124th-ranked Lucas Gerch; and Courtney Lock at No. 5 vs. Tristan Meraut.
UNLV will return to the courts Saturday to take on Montana starting with doubles at 11 a.m. PT. Admission to all home matches is free of charge.
