LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) –The UNLV baseball team will welcome Cal Baptist to Earl E. Wilson Stadium for an exhibition game Saturday. First pitch between the Rebels and Lancers is slated for 11:00 am.

The contest, which is free and open to the public, will be the second played by the Scarlet & Gray this fall after it hosted Air Force last weekend.

The Lancers are transitioning to the NCAA Division I level and Western Athletic Conference this year (2018-19) after spending the previous five years (2013-14 to 2017-18) at the Division II level. Prior to that, the Riverside, California-based program had been a member of the NAIA dating back to 1969.

ALUMNI WEEKEND: UNLV will hold its annual alumni weekend Nov. 9-10, with its golf tournament slated to take place at Siena Golf Club (Friday, Nov. 9) and its alumni baseball game at Wilson Stadium (Saturday, Nov. 10). Golfing is open to the public and participation from the Southern Nevada community is encouraged. The tourney will use a two-person scramble format ($400 per team). Check-in will begin at 8:00 am with golf starting at 9:00 am. Attendees are invited to stay for a cocktail reception.

The alumni game is scheduled to start at 11:00 am with batting practice beginning at 9:30 am.
