LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) –The UNLV baseball team will hold its Scarlet & Gray World Series later this week at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The annual intrasquad competition gets underway Thursday with game two slated for Friday, with first pitch scheduled for both at 8:45 am. The third and final contest will take place next week; however, the day of week is still to be determined. Fans are encouraged to attend and admission is free.
The Scarlet will be comprised of Bryson Stott, Jacob Rogers, Ryan McDonald, Cameron Jabara, Haydn King, Jake McLean, Matt Mitchell, Conner Woods, Joshua Harmonay, Jackson Cofer, Edarian Williams, Chase Hanson, Ryan Hare, Bryce Bullock, Austin Pfeifer, Vince Taormina and Jared Nelson.
The Gray will be made up of Jack-Thomas Wold, Dillon Johnson, Bradley Spooner, Trevor Rosenberg, Tallon Thomason, James Gamble, Jacob Godman, Trent Bixby, Grant Robbins, Jason Sharman, Seth Mullis, Duke Pahukoa, Troy Balko, Donavon McCrystal, Paul Richy, Ty Pohlmann, Isaiah Montoya and Garrett Giles.
The Rebels have hosted a pair of exhibition games the past two weekends with a contest against Air Force and another versus Cal Baptist.
ALUMNI WEEKEND: UNLV will hold its annual alumni weekend Nov. 9-10, with its golf tournament slated to take place at Siena Golf Club (Friday, Nov. 9) and its alumni baseball game at Wilson Stadium (Saturday, Nov. 10). Golfing is open to the public and participation from the Southern Nevada community is encouraged. The tourney will use a two-person scramble format ($400 per team). Check-in will begin at 8:00 am with golf starting at 9:00 am. Attendees are invited to stay for a cocktail reception.
The alumni game is scheduled to start at 11:00 am with batting practice beginning at 9:30 am.
