LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team dropped the doubles point but came back in singles play to defeat New Mexico State 4-2 Saturday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels, who will play another match in the afternoon, improved to 3-2 while the Aggies fell to 3-3.
UNLV dominated at the top half of the lineup, winning in straight sets on courts 1-4 to clinch it.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Eric Samuelsson, a transfer from LSU, was tied in doubles when his match was halted but downed Asmar Enrique 7-5, 6-4 at the fourth position in singles play to help the Rebels rally for the team win.
NET NOTE: UNLV has lost the doubles point in three straight matches but has come back to win two of those outings.
NEXT FOR THE REBELS: After closing Saturday's doubleheader by taking on Weber State, UNLV will be off until traveling to UCLA next Saturday.
