Women's tennis duo earns honors after winning UNLV's first ITA Regional Doubles Championship.
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's tennis senior En-Pei Huang and junior Izumi Asano were named the Outstanding Rebels of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete(s) who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.Â

The award goes to the student-athlete(s) who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.Â
The duo won UNLV's first ITA Regional Doubles Championship by going 6-0 over the week, including defeating the second-seeded team from Air Force and the sixth-seeded duo from Utah along the way. The performance earned them a spot in the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
