LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV Rebels scored early and often in their 17-3 win of the Washington State Cougars Tuesday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebel offense recorded season highs in runs, hits, RBI and total bases, as every batter recorded at least one hit and one run in the run-rule affair that was halted at the conclusion of the top of the seventh inning.

With the victory, the Scarlet & Gray (10-7) has won three straight and six of its last eight games. Moreover, the triumph evened the all-time series mark between the Rebels and Cougars (6-9) at 10-all. The midweek series between the Mountain West and Pac-12 squads concludes Wednesday afternoon at 1:05 pm.

UNLV's 17 runs came off of 16 RBI with four from
Max Smith, three each from
Jacob Godman and
Chase Hanson, and two from both
Bryson Stott and
Edarian Williams.

Williams and Smith got the scoring started with an RBI single and a three-run home run in the first inning, respectively. The duo scored twice more in both the third and fourth innings and knocked in one RBI apiece, with Smith's tally coming in the third and Williams' in the fourth.

The Cougars pulled within two in the third with a pair of runs; however, the Rebels countered with two of their own with help from run-scoring hits from Smith and
Duke Pahukoa.

UNLV's lead ballooned to nine runs in the fourth when 11 batters came to the plate and produced seven runs off of six hits.

WSU scored its final run in the fifth, but UNLV got four more in the sixth, three of which coming from Hanson's first career home run as a Rebel.
