Pair Of Men's Tennis Players Earn ITA Academic Honors - University of Nevada Las Vegas Athletics

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Two members of the UNLV men's tennis team were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes for 2019.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a letterwinner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. Earning that standing this year was senior Richard Solberg and freshman Tom Ciszewksi.

That same duo was earlier announced as Mountain West Scholar-Athletes, which goes to those with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.

Both were also members of the 2019 Academic All-Mountain West Team, which features five Rebels who have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Solberg earned the honor for the fourth time as a Rebel while Clayton Alenik and Jordan Sauer made it for the second straight season. Joining Ciszewski as a first-time winner was fellow-freshman Milos Dabic.
