LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf program inked five commitments for 2021-22, head coach Amy Bush-Herzer announced Thursday. Sydney Bryan, McKenzi Hall, Gianna Marretti, Hina Matsui and Kendall Todd signed national letters of intent this week during the November signing period.
"I'm excited about this class and everything they bring to the table," said Amy Bush-Herzer. "We can't wait for them to join the program next year and contribute right away."

Bryan, a Mesa, Arizona, native, is a four-year letterwinner in varsity golf for coach Jeff Fisher at Red Mountain High School. The Arizona golfer helped the Eagles finish top five in state each year, while Bryan nabbed two top-three state finishes. This year Bryan claimed an individual championship at the Mesa City tournament and is ranked 11th in the country in the 2021 class. Bryan has a collegiate golf tradition in her family as her mom played at the University of Hawaii and her aunt played at Arizona State.

Hall, one of two Las Vegas locals, will join the program after her prep career at Centennial High School and the Delta Academy. In three seasons, Hall's scoring average has improved each year, going from 73.9 her freshman year to 71.7 this past season as a junior. Hall helped the Bulldogs earn back-to-back regional championships that included first-place individual regional finishes. She went on to finish second in state both years, helping her team to a state title as a sophomore and a runner-up finish last year.

Marretti, the second Vegas local, will stay home to play for the hometown team after she graduates from Bishop Gorman High School this spring. Marretti has played her prep career for the Gaels under coach Jim Stanfil and helped her team to the 4A State Golf Championship in 2019.

Matsui, originally from Osaka, Japan, has been playing at the prep level for Morningside Academy in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. She currently ranks 71st on the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) 2021 rankings, 17th in the JGS Florida state rankings and 133rd overall in Golf Week's Girls National Rankings. Matsui has seen a lot of success at the junior level, most recently winning a 2020 Florida Junior Tour event at Eagle Creek Golf Club. She earned medalist honors at the 2019 South Florida open and in two AJGA Open Qualifiers. Overall, Matsui has four top-10 finishes in AJGA Open Championships and eight top-five finishes in Florida Junior Tour events.

A Goodyear, Arizona native, Todd is a decorated player on the Arizona Junior Golf circuit. Todd will graduate from Arizona Connections Academy in the spring of 2021. In her last four American Junior Golf Association tournaments, Todd has finished in the top 15, including a first and second place finish, respectively, in her most recent tournaments in October.Â
The five signees will join the Rebel program in fall 2021.
