MINNEAPOLIS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV wrapped up action at the 2020 Mountain West Women's Swimming & Diving Championships with a fourth place finish at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center, this is UNLV's highest finish since 2013. The Rebels concluded the competition with 875.5 points, while San Diego State won the conference title with 1463.5 points. UNR placed second with 1015.5 points, and due to their higher finisher over the Rebels, the Wolf Pack earned three points in
The Silver State Series presented by IBEW and Nevada Donor Network, the all-sports competition between the two schools.
THE RUNDOWN - WOMEN:
*Freshman
Diana Neagu finished eighth in the 1650 free with a time of 17:01.94, followed by sophomore
Filio Raftopoulou who came in 12th (17:06.83), and sophomore Camilia Quineche placed 25th (17:41.61).

Kacey Kiuchi touched the wall third in the 200 back with a swim of 1:56.35*, an NCAA 'B' provisional time.

Kristina Schneider touched fourth in the 100 free with a time of 49.91, sophomore
Ava Haase took 15th (51.28), followed by junior Caitlyn Schrebier in 16th (51.42), junior
Lauren Smith placed 22nd (51.41), and sophomore
Julia Filippova finished 23rd (51.45).

Skylar Moore placed 11th in the 200 breast with a 2:16.90.

Carissa Armijo finished eighth in the 200 fly with a swim of 2:02.14, sophomore Tenka Ash took 10th (2:02.38), sophomore
Gabby Lizzul followed in 11th (2:02.65), senior
Tara Wise placed 12th (2:03.21), and Quineche touched 23rd (2:08.00).
*Closing out this year's championships with a fourth place showing in the 400 free relay with the team of
Kristina Schneider, Kate Afanasyeva,
Caitlyn Schreiber, and
Ava Haase (3:21.18).
