Winter Graduates Honored

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – No less than 24 current and former UNLV student-athletes are eligible to take part in Tuesday's annual Winter Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack center.

To begin the celebration, the UNLV Athletics Department hosted its annual Senior Send-Off reception for graduates and their families Tuesday morning at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Some graduates have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season while pursuing either a master's or second bachelor's degree.

The event will mark the first in-person graduation ceremony held inside the Thomas & Mack Center in two years and will be presided over on campus for the first time by President Keith E. Whitfield.

The Class of 2021 ranges in age from 15 to 67 and is made up of graduates from 37 states and 45 foreign countries. Many are the first in their family to graduate from college and well over half – 64 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Since 1964, UNLV has awarded about 157,000 degrees.
