LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team rallied in the eighth inning to secure the win over Dixie State, 3-2, Tuesday evening at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
The Rebels saw their record improve to 22-11 (12-3 MW), while the Trailblazers dropped to 14-18 (8-7 WAC).
REBEL OF THE GAME: Hank Zeisler went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs, including his sixth home run of the season, for the Rebels.
TURNING POINT: The Scarlet & Gray were down by one run going into the home frame of the eighth inning, only for an RBI from Edarian Williams and Gavin Mez to pull the Rebels ahead.
Sam Simon (2-1) earned his second win of the season after pitching 1.1 innings of relief and allowing no runs or hits and had two punchouts.
Troy Balko (S,2) earned his second save of the season after pitching 1 inning of relief, allowing no runs or hits and only one walk.
Justin Woodbury (0-1) was saddled with the loss after pitching 0.1 innings of relief, allowing two runs on two hits and only one strikeout.
UP NEXT: The Rebels will continue their 13-game homestand with a three-game conference series against . First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m.

Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.
All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
