The Scarlet & Gray left 11 batters on the base in the week-day showdown, totaling four hits and four walks. Among the Hustlin' Rebels with hits was
Gunnar Myro, the sophomore batting 2-3 with a walk on the night, both hits being singles in the second and fourth innings.
Cooper Sheff and
Dean Toigo were also members of the lineup to pick up base hits, both coming in the top of the fifth inning off consecutive at bats.
The Rebels also stole a pair of bases in the contest, both Myro and Sheff advancing into scoring position in the game by stealing second base. The program reached scoring position in five different innings, all five consisting of runners touching second base.
UNLV's pitching only gave up four hits in the contest,
Cody Albright starting on the mound for the bullpen day and striking out four batters in two innings of work.
Evan Vasiliou also fanned four batters in two innings of work, Alex Navarette (one K),
Michael Taylor (two) and
Mason Dillow (one) all picking up appearances in the game.

Stan Stolte. "We have a big weekend ahead with a good Fresno State team coming to town, and they won't feel sorry for us."
