Issac Williamson To Join Men's Basketball Program

Combo guard from California led Eastvale Roosevelt to a CIF State Open Division title this past season.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball program has received a signed commitment from Issac Williamson to join the Runnin' Rebels for the 2025-26 season, head coach Josh Pastner announced Wednesday.

Williamson, who is a 6-foot, 165-pound combo guard from Moreno Valley, California, will be a freshman this fall. He led Eastvale Roosevelt High School to a CIF State Open Division championship this past season.

"Issac is a tremendous addition to our program," Pastner said. "He is a winner, an exceptional defender, exemplifies toughness and competitive excellence, and consistently wins 50/50 balls. We are excited to welcome him to the Runnin' Rebel family and are looking forward to having him as part of our team."




Williamson averaged 14.3 points and 2.5 steals per game this past season, while shooting 35% on 3-pointers. He was named to the 2025 All-CIF Southern California team and was the 2024 All-CIF Southern Section Defensive Player of the Year. 247Sports and On3 lists him as a three-star prospect.

Williamson joins Mason Abittan, Howie Fleming Jr., Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn, Al Green, Tyrin Jones and Emmanuel Stephen as incoming players to the Runnin' Rebel program for the 2025-26 season. James Evans Jr. and Jacob Bannarbie have also committed to return to the program from last season's roster.
