Rebels Win Series With Commanding Win Against Bradley

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Hustlin' Rebels Rebels broke open a tight game late, erupting for 10 runs over the final three innings to roll past the Bradley Braves 13-5 on Saturday evening at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.

HOW IT WENT DOWN: Bradley (1-5) struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on two UNLV errors as Hayden Miller's RBI single gave the Braves an early 1-0 edge. The Rebels (4-2) answered immediately in the bottom half, with Jack Salmon working a leadoff walk and Marcos Rosales doubling to set the table. Ayden Garcia drove in Salmon on a groundout before Drew Barragan lifted a sacrifice fly to center, pushing UNLV in front 2-1.

The Braves briefly pulled even in the second when Michael Quick homered to deep right field, but the game settled into a pitcher's duel through the middle innings. UNLV regained the lead for good in the fifth, as Rosales reached and advanced on a throwing error before Garcia lined an RBI single up the middle to make it 3-2.

UNLV's bullpen then took control, as Tate Foxson struck out the side in the sixth, and the Rebels' offense rewarded that momentum with a three-run seventh. Jayden Sanchez and Salmon opened the frame with singles, and Garcia delivered again, this time with a two-run single to center. A wild pitch later in the inning allowed another run to score, extending the lead to 6-2.

The decisive blow came in a chaotic bottom of the eighth, when UNLV sent 13 batters to the plate and scored seven runs. After a Gavin Taylor and Rosales double steal, Barragan knocked in a run with a single, and Jonny Rodriguez capped the outburst with a two-run double to left-center as UNLV surged ahead 13–2. Bradley added three runs in the ninth, highlighted by A.J. Garcia's two-run triple and Quick's RBI infield single, but the outcome was already sealed.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UNLV pitchers struck out a single-game program record 22 Bradley batters, the most in a game since they struck out 17 Cincinnati batters on Feb. 22, 2025.
- Parker Dillhoff (10), Tate Foxsom (6), LJ Manning (4) and Colton Sundloff (2) represented the program record, with Dillhoff recording his first win of the season going 5.0 innings.
