LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV junior Nikol Mircheva has been named the Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Mircheva, out of Frankfurt, Germany, went a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles over the weekend in helping lead her team to a trio of 7-0 victories.
 
Playing at the No. 2 spot in singles, Mircheva notched straight-set wins over players from Weber State, Utah Tech and Youngstown State to improve to 8-4 this season. She and doubles partner Hudson Hawkins also won a trio of matches at the second position.
 
Mircheva and the Rebels will host Iowa State on Friday starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission to all matches at the Fertitta Tennis Complex are free of charge. Fans in attendance for this match will be treated to free bagels and coffee while supplies last.
