LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's golf head coach
Amy Bush-Herzer has signed a four-year contract extension, Interim President Chris Heavey and Director of Athletics
Erick Harper announced today.
The five-time Mountain West Coach of the Year will remain under contract through the 2029-30 season.
"Coach Bush-Herzer has built UNLV women's golf into one of the premier programs in the Mountain West, and her sustained success is a direct reflection of her leadership, vision, and commitment to our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics
Erick Harper. "Her teams continue to compete for championships, achieve at a high level academically, and represent UNLV with pride. We are excited to have Amy continue leading this program into the future."
In her 15 seasons at the helm of the Rebel program, Bush-Herzer's teams have won six Mountain West Championships, qualified for the NCAA Regionals 12 times, and reached the NCAA Championship twice. Additionally, she has coached her student-athletes to two MW individual titles, five MW Golfer of the Year awards, six MW Freshman of the Year awards, 36 all-conference selections, 37 WGCA Scholar All-America honorees, three individual NCAA Regional bids, an individual national championship trip, and two All-America honors.
"Las Vegas and UNLV have been my home for over 20 years, and I'm incredibly grateful to our administration for their continued belief in our vision for Rebel women's golf," said Bush-Herzer. "This extension is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes and staff. We've built a championship tradition here, and I am more motivated than ever to keep pushing this program to new heights, both on the course and in the classroom."
This past season, Bush-Herzer garnered recognition as the MW Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season after guiding the Scarlet and Gray to a repeat MW Championship and its fourth NCAA Regional trip in the last five years. During the 2025-26 season, the Rebels posted two team victories (Jackrabbits Invitational; Mountain West Championship) and finished fourth or better as a team five times. On the individual side, MW Golfer of the Year junior
Zi Yu Foong and sophomore
Amber Chen picked up their first career individual wins in a season that saw them both earn all-conference first team accolades.
Bush-Herzer has mentored one of her student-athletes to go on to earn an LPGA Tour card. Rebel All-American Dana Finkelstein (2011-15) has been awarded an LPGA Tour card on two occasions.
Off the course, the Rebels continue to hit their mark in the classroom with a 3.45 GPA, and five student-athletes were named to the Dean's List this spring. It marked their seventh straight semester with at least a 3.45 GPA.
