FORT COLLINS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – Following Monday's opening two rounds at the Ben Connell Ram Classic, the UNLV women's golf team and freshman Kuree Little sit atop the team and individual leaderboards at Ptarmigan Golf Club (Par 72, 6,493 yards). 

LEADERS IN THE CLUBHOUSE: As a team, the Rebels shot a 12-under 564 on the first 36 holes for a six-shot lead over Washington (-6) in second. Little, meanwhile, is in a four-way tie for first at 6-under 138.

SECOND-ROUND SURGE: Trailing first-round leader UC Davis by one shot, the Scarlet & Gray surged to the top of the team standings with a second-round 10-under 278 as the whole team shot par or better in the round.  All four scorers finished the round under par, including Little's 5-under 67, senior Zi Yu Foong's and sophomore Demi Du's 2-under 70 scorecards and Yamagata's 1-under 71. Adding a pair of even-par 72 rounds were junior Amber Chen and freshman Addison Hines, who is competing as an individual.

FIRST-ROUND HIGHLIGHTS: In the first round, Little, Yamagata and Chen each contributed par-or-better scorecards as part of a 2-under 286 team score. Yamagata's 2-under 70 led the way on the first 18 holes, with Little's 1-under 71 and Chen's even-par 72 following close behind. 

REBEL ROUNDUP: Four Rebels ended the day among the top 25 in the individual standings. Behind Little in the Rebel lineup are Yamagata (-3) in a tie for ninth, Foong (-1) in a tie for 14th and Chen (E) in a tie for 19th. Hines (+6) cracks the top 50 in 49th, while Du (+12) goes into the third round in a tie for 72nd.
