2007-08 (Junior): Posted two top-eight finishes at the MWC championships in the back event, as he was fourth in the 100 back in 49.08 and sixth in the 200 back in 1:49.39 ... took 12th in the 200 IM with a time of 1:52.32.

2006-07 (Sophomore): Had a 13th-place finish in the 400 IM event at the MWC championships ... finished ninth in the 100 back with a time of 50.96 ... clocked a 1:49.11 in the 200 back, good for fifth.

2005-06 (Freshman): Came on strong at the end of the year, earning a spot on the MWC travel squad and making it pay off by scoring in both events he swam ... finished 11th in the 400 IM in a time of 4:08.19, and added a 13th-place time of 51.78 in the 100 back.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Green Valley High ... was a state and regional champion his senior year and earned All-American status ... also named regional swimmer
of the year ... team[apos]s High Point Scorer in 2004 and 2005 ... led them to three straight runner-up finishes at the regionals and a regional championship in 2005 ... also played two years of hockey ... team was 29-4 over his two years, with a regional championship in 2003 and the state title in 2004.

Club: Swam the last two years for BCH in Henderson ... team won state championships both years ... swam in the junior nationals.

Personal: Michael Jeff Ellingsen ... born on March 14, 1987, in Long Beach, Calif. ... son of Mike and Debbie Ellingsen ... has two sisters, Kelly (28) and Jamie (18) ... majoring in psychology ... after graduation, plans on entering fighter pilot training in the Air Force at Laughlin AFB.
