Biography
Rebel Notes: David enters his third season with the Rebel swim team as a backstroker and IMer.
2003-04: Claimed eighth in the 200 back (1:53.40), took 11th in the 400 IM (4:05.99), and placed 12th in the 1,650 free (16:15.49) at the conference championships. 2002-03: David scored six points for the Rebels with an 11th place finish in the 400 IM at the MWC Championships. He also swam a 1:54.68 in the 200 IM and a 1:53.38 in the 200 back, but did not score.
High School: David is a 2002 graduate of Columbus High School in Miami, Florida ... is the school record holder in the 200 IM and 100 back ... is a four-time All-American ... also an all-state water polo player.
Personal: David Alberto Rodriguez was born on October 5, 1983 in Miami, Florida ... is the son of Ricardo Rodriguez and Margarita Del cerro ... is undecided on a major ... considers his parents to be the greatest influence on his athletic career.
