Biography
2007-08 (Junior): Was one of the top distance swimmers over the length of the season in the MWC ... placed 13th in the 400 IM at the conference meet in a time of 4:30.00, and was 15th in the 200 breast (2:23.42) ... also swam in the 500 free ... named MWC Swimmer of the Week (Dec. 20) after winning two individual events at the UNLV Winter Invite.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Probably the most consistent swimmer for the Rebels in 2006-07, topping many best-time charts ... finished 12th in the 200 IM at the MWC meet ... fought off illness to finish third in the 400 IM, clocking a 4:26.62, while winning the MWC title in the 200 breast with a time of 2:18.40 ... named MWC Swimmer of the Week for the week of Dec. 20 after her impressive performances at the UNLV Invite, earning her third career honor ... was an all-conference swimmer in the 400 IM and 200 breast ... her 2:04.07 time in the 200 IM at the Texas Invite was the fourth-best time in UNLV history.
2005-06 (Freshman): Had an outstanding first season in Las Vegas as she turned in three top-seven finishes at the MWC Championships ... highest finish came in the 200 breast where she was runner-up in a time of 2:16.03, the second-fastest time in UNLV history ... her third-place swim of 4:26.54 in the 400 IM ranks 10th in school history ... also placed seventh in the 200 IM (2:06.88) ... was named MWC Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 2) after winning both the 200 breast and the 400 IM against 17th-ranked Arizona State ... earned her second MWC weekly honor on Jan. 11, after winning the 200 breast and 200 IM in a conference victory over Wyoming.
High School: Holds 11 school records at Emerald Ridge ... was fourth in the 100 breast and fifth in the 200 IM as a senior at the state championships ... also holds school records in track in the mile and two-mile .... placed fifth in the two-mile at the state meet and was 11th in the 1600m ... was a Silver Athletic award winner.
Club: Swam for Valley Aquatics in Puyallup and was a Junior National qualifer.
Personal: Bailey Nicole Kuestermeyer ... born on Feb. 6, 1987, in Kansas City, Kansas ... daughter of Guy and Anita Kuestermeyer ... has one sister, Cassie (23) and one brother, Tanner (16) ... knows sign language and likes to sing ... majoring in hospitality management.
