UNLV is investigating the unauthorized student use of a phone code to make long distance telephone calls and student-athletes are part of the inquiry, the athletics department announced Sunday.
Since Monday, April 28, campus police have been engaged in an investigation. The investigation is complex and time-consuming because of the amount of data involved.
The athletics department will conduct an investigation as it relates to NCAA rules as soon as the campus police investigation concludes.
As is consistent with the University's policies, on-going police investigations are treated as confidential matters.
