Andy Grossman has been named UNLV Director of Media Relations for the athletics department, the school announced Tuesday.
In a reorganization of the UNLV sports information office, Grossman returns to the school to serve as the department's spokesperson, oversee the communications for the sport of men's basketball and head the five-person SID staff.
Grossman, a 1996 graduate of the University of Arizona, served as UNLV assistant sports information director for women's basketball, volleyball and golf from 1996 until earlier this year when he left to join the public relations division of MGM MIRAGE.
Also, assistant SID Mark Wallington has been promoted to Associate Director for Sports Information. A 1993 graduate of the University of Florida, Wallington is entering his eighth season in the UNLV sports information office and oversees all communications for Rebel football.
