The UNLV Athletics Department will hold its second annual Scholarship Donor Appreciation Barbecue at Bill "Wildcat" Morris Rebel Park on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Scholarship donors are invited to meet the head coaches, assistant coaches and student-athletes from all 16 intercollegiate sports sponsored by UNLV. The event will serve as a chance for the athletics department to express its gratitude and appreciation to the scholarship donors in return for their support.
Also present for the donors to meet will be Hey Reb, the UNLV band, the UNLV cheerleaders and the Rebel Girls. The event, which will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will feature live music and a DJ and includes a meal prepared by The Fraternity of Executive Chefs of Las Vegas and Chefs for Kids.
The event is sponsored by Get Fresh Sales, Custom Foods, Big Dog's Hospitality Group, Heinz, Desert Meats and Provisions, Collegiate Graphics, Anderson Dairy, LaFond Food Brokers, Eisenberg Gourmet Beef Franks, Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery and U.S. Food Service.
