Women's Cross Country off to Fast Start

FULLERTON, Calif. - The UNLV women's cross country team took fourth place at the Jammin' Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton Saturday, September 5. UNLV had two runners finish in the top ten.

Rebel Angie Fortner took first place overall with a time of 17:33. Her nearest competitor was Dona Mills of CSU Dominguez Hills with a time of 18:06. Denise Danielson gave a ninth place showing for the Rebels with a time of 18:53. Sharlene Downing, Kelly Squibb, Stephanie Davidson and Jassamyn Parker rounded out the Rebel runners that finished the event.

The Rebels next meet is September 12 at 7:30 a.m. when they host the UNLV Invitational.
