UNLV fans will once again be able to purchase team merchandise at the Thomas & Mack Center beginning with Saturday's men's basketball game vs. Georgia Southern, the school announced Friday.
Since the Thomas & Mack's Rebel Store was closed by the facility earlier this year, there was no outlet offering clothing and other souvenirs at games. Now, a Rebel sweatshirt, hat and T-shirt will be the first items rolled out Saturday and be on sale on the arena's concourse.
"This athletic department needs to make sure its fans have the opportunity to purchase Rebel merchandise at events," UNLV senior associate athletics director Jerry Koloskie said. "We needed to fill the void that was created when the Thomas & Mack Center closed the Rebel Store and this is the first step. We will continue to add items through the season and hope to open our own store at some point."
