Unlv Athletics Academic Top 30 Announced
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The UNLV Athletics Academic Top 30 was announced Monday with the members of this elite group honored at a halftime ceremony during the Runnin? Rebels basketball game vs. New Mexico.
UNLV President Dr. Carol C. Harter and Director of Athletics Charles Cavagnaro were on hand to salute the achievements of the student-athletes from UNLV's 15 varsity sports and present them with certificates of recognition.
To be included in this year's Academic Top 30, student-athletes were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.67. This year's group includes 31 student-athletes because of a tie for the 30th spot.
The student-athletes will also be recognized at the annual Student-Athlete Luncheon, which will take place on Wednesday, April 15 at the Tam Alumni Center on campus.
