UNLV's Sawyer Named All-WAC

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - UNLV junior defensive end Talance Sawyer has been named to the All-Western Athletic Conference team by Football News, the magazine announced Wednesday.

Sawyer leads the league in tackles for loss with 17 and has recorded a team-leading six quarterback sacks. He is third on the UNLV squad with 80 total tackles.

The Bastrop, La., native is the lone Rebel on this year's Football News team, which included only 24 players from the entire 16-school WAC.
