TEMPE, Ariz. - The 37th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team lost its first dual match of the season, 8-1, to eighth-ranked Arizona State at the Whiteman Tennis Center Saturday.
The Lady Rebels (3-1) lost five of six singles matches and were swept in doubles by the Sun Devils (5-0).
At the top spot, No. 30 Reka Cseresnyes of ASU defeated Susie Kocsis, 6-0, 6-2. Veronica Goude provided UNLV with its only point, blanking Stephanie Lansdorp, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 3 position.
The Lady Rebels are scheduled to play at No. 23 Arizona in Tucson on Sunday.
