NIL EDUCATION

All UNLV student-athletes are provided with the tools needed to build and enhance their personal brands, connect with the local Las Vegas marketplace and continue to be educated on what is permissible by the state, UNLV and NCAA rules and regulations with the help of NOCAP.

PERMISSIBLE NIL INTERACTIONS	Student-athletes must provide a service in return for compensation (e.g., personal appearance, social media post, camp/clinic, brand endorsement) Student-athletes may hire marketing agents, who must be registered with the compliance office, to oversee NIL activities. Student-athletes may not receive compensation contingent upon enrollment or athletic performance (no pay for play).
REQUIRED STUDENT-ATHLETE ACTIONS	Disclose all deals on NOCAP prior to NIL activity Marketing Agent registration Have UNLV logo usage approved Complete ALL administrative items such as taxes & insurance International students: confirm VISA & tax commitments
UNLV RESTRICTIONS	The UNLV Athletic Department discourages student-athletes from participating in activities that do not align with UNLV’s mission and core values, as well as NCAA bylaws. Examples include: drug dispensaries, adult establishments, alcohol endorsements and/or sports wagering.
USE OF UNLV MARKS AND LOGOS	UNLV student-athletes may use UNLV marks and logos if prior approval is received. The student-athlete must observe the designated protocol available for all vendors making this request. The UNLV Athletics Marketing Department oversees this process as they reserve the right to deny any request that does not align with UNLV Athletics mission and core values.
