UNLV: Begins his fifth year with the Rebels ... has played in 25 career tournaments and 76 rounds ... has a 73.53 career scoring average, which currently ranks 12th on the all-time UNLV chart for career scoring average ... has recorded nine top-20 finishes, including three top-10s and two top-fives ... has recorded 25 rounds at par or better. 2005-06: Did not play during 2005-06, using the season as a redshirt year ... qualified for the 2006 U.S. Amateur. 2004-05: Earned honorable mention All-America as well as Academic All-MWC honors ... played in nine tournaments and 28 rounds ... his best finish was a tie for fifth at the Mountain West Conference Championship (214) ... also recorded a top-10 finish at the National Invitational Tournament (208) where he tied for seventh ... recorded six top-20 finishes including two top-10s and one top-five ... had six rounds in the 60s, including a season-low 67 in the first round of the NIT ... had a scoring average of 72.29, which ranked fourth on the team ... his 72.29 scoring average ranks 13th on the all-time UNLV chart for scoring average in a season ... during the summer of 2005 made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. 2003-04: Played in 11 tournaments and 32 rounds ... his best finish was a tie for 11th at the Mountain West Conference Championship (221) ... broke into the 60s three times, firing rounds of 68 twice ... finished in the top 20 once ... had a 74.53 scoring average, which was fourth on the team. 2002-03: Played in five tournaments and 16 rounds ... tied for fifth in his collegiate debut at the National Invitational Tournament ... fired the team's best round of the year, a career-low 65 in the final round of the ASU Invitational to become one of just 12 Rebels ever to shoot a competitive round of 65 or better ... retained his spot in the lineup throughout the playoff season ... named a Freshman to Watch by Golfweek in its college preview. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Wash. ... led the Vikings to four straight district championships ... a two-time AJGA All-American ... won the AJGL Club Corp at Mission Hills and lost a playoff for a second victory at the Las Vegas Founders Legacy Junior ... individual runner-up at the 2001 Washington State Championship where he lost to former Rebel teammate Ryan Moore. PERSONAL: Ryan Keeney was born July 3, 1983 ... the son of Barry and Jennifer Keeney ... has twin sisters, Ashley and Valerie (20), and one brother, Troy (11) ... majoring in communications with an emphasis in public relations. KNIGHT ON KEENEY: 'This season, Ryan is one of two returning All-Americans and I think he brings a lot to the table. Redshirting last season has given him a good perspective on a lot of things. He had a really outstanding sophomore year and played a lot of golf his junior year, so I think the experience that he brings will be really valuable to our program.'
