Former collegiate player and longtime instructor Oliver Good was hired as UNLV men’s tennis assistant in fall 2021.

“We are excited to have Oliver join the program and he brings a lot of experience with a strong recruiting background,” said head coach Owen Hambrook. “I have no doubt he will make us better as a team. What stood out to me from the beginning of the search is the strength of character and honesty that Oliver exhibits.”

Good came to Las Vegas after serving as the managing director of a tennis recruiting service The College Recruit, in Melbourne, Australia, since 2017. He previously was a tennis pro at the Victorian Tennis Academy and director of tennis at tennis camps for Jim Courier Tennis in Hayman Island, Australia. Before that he spent one year as a prospect support specialist for NSR Australia.

A graduate of Weber State, Good started his coaching career at his alma mater as a graduate assistant in 2014. As a player for the Wildcats he rose as high as 43rd in the nation in doubles and was a two-time team MVP and captain and helped WSU win the Big Sky Conference regular-season title in 2014.

"It is great to be here at UNLV,” said Good. “This is a program that I had a lot of respect for as a player, and I thank Owen for the opportunity to work with a great group of guys who are keen to have a really strong season."
