2004-05 (Freshman): Competed mostly in the breaststroke and IM events, appeared in every regular season meet.
High School: Took fourth in the state in the 100 breast in both her junior and senior years ... led Greeley Central to conference runner-up finishes all four years and swam on the school record 200 medley relay All-American team ... also named Academic All-State in 2003 ... played two years at No. 2 doubles for the tennis team as well.
Club: Sectional team member for the Greeley Swim Club.
Personal: Kelly Leigh Gutierrez ... born on June 4, 1985, in Pueblo, Colo. ... daughter of David and Diane Gutierrez ... has one sister, Lauren (22) ... plans to major in kinesiology ... volunteers at the Northern Colorado Medical Center.
