Former Rebel tennis standout Eric Samuelsson joined the UNLV women's program as Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2022-23 and became a Graduate Assistant Coach one season later.
As a senior leader in 2021, Samuelsson (Ahus, Sweden) was named All-Mountain West in singles for the third consecutive season after leading the Rebels in wins with a 10-8 overall mark, including 6-1 vs. MW opponents. He was also named the MW Player of the Week for the third time of his career in Las Vegas.
The son of a tennis coach joined UNLV after transferring from LSU where he first played for the SEC school in January 2017. Before college, Samuelsson competed in numerous ITF Futures events and was ranked in the top-three in the 14,16 and 18 age groups in Sweden.
