Aniis Hopkins

UNLV track & field added Aniis Hopkins to its staff in 2021 as an assistant coach working with the Rebels' jumps and combined events.

Hopkins joins the Rebel staff after working with Long Island University as an assistant coach and was promoted to interim coach. Jahsira Dunbar set a school record of 15.95m in the triple jump during Hopkins’s tenure, while Stephanie Esogenwune leaped a new personal best of 12.47 in triple jump.

Hopkins assisted at Florida State University from 2016-2019. While with the Seminoles she helped
coach 22 All-Americans (outdoor/indoor) and nine ACC champs (indoor/outdoor). The Seminoles men's and women’s teams captured six ACC Team Championships.

Prior to Florida State University, Hopkins served as an assistant track & field coach at Winter
Springs High School. A total of 20 school records fell during her time at Winter Springs, while the
school produced nationally ranked student-athletes in the hurdles and jumps.

A graduate from the University of Wyoming in 2008, Hopkins received all-conference honors in the long jump and 60mH.
