Brooke Koblitz

Brooke Koblitz was hired as an assistant coach for the UNLV track & field/cross country programs in August, 2025.

Koblitz comes to Las Vegas after a successful tenure at Trevecca Nazarene University, where she served as the women’s cross country coach and men’s and women’s mid-distance track coach from 2022–2025.

During Koblitz's first season with the Scarlet & Gray, the Rebels finished sixth in the women's 6K at the Mark Covert Classic, with Nicole Boskovich pacing the Rebels finishing 25th overall in a personal best time of 22:35.8. Claire Rands and Alana Sangprasit guided the Scarlet & Gray with a pair of personal-best 5K times at the UC Riverside Invitational. Rands paced the Rebel contingent with a time of 18:41.9 with a 40th-place showing, while Sangprasit placed 43rd with a time of 18:43.3. UNLV finished 11th overall at the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Cross Country Championships, held at Woodward Park hosted by Fresno State. The Scarlet & Gray was paced by Angelina Vasquez, who finished 90th with a time of 23:13.7 (70 points). The Rebels finished 39th overall at the 2025 NCAA West Regional, which was hosted by Sacramento State University and contested at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course. The Scarlet & Gray were paced by Angelina Vasquez (23:30.7) and Reagan Reed (23:37.3). In her first season with track & field, Koblitz saw rising freshman Reagan Reed record personal best times of 11:06.44 in the 3000m and 5:24.15 in the mile at the MW Indoor Championships, recorded personal best times of 11:06.44 in the 3000m and 5:24.15 in the mile. Additionally, Reed captured a 12th place finish in the 1500m (4:50.33 - personal best) at the Ben Brown Invite, and capped her season at the MW Outdoor Championships with a 44th place finish in the 5000m with a personal best time of 19:14.24. Fellow rising freshman Taryn Bailey ran a personal best mile time of 5:21.23 at the Silver State Invitational & Combined Events, placing sixth overall. Bailey helped the DMR team to a second place (12:38.92) finish at the same meet, placed second in the 1000m (2:57.05) at the UNR Invitational and ran a personal best 600m (1:33.11) time at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. Koblitz also saw Bailey run a personal best 400m time of 57.72 (15th place) at the UNLV Rebel ELITE, and place 15th in the 800m (2:11.14) at the MW Outdoor Championships. 

At Trevecca, she was the program’s first full-time assistant coach and quickly elevated the women’s cross country team to new heights. In just three seasons, she guided the program from a 12th-place conference finish in 2022 to the highest NCAA Regional finish in school history (12th in 2024), while also earning the team’s first-ever regional ranking. Her athletes set multiple school records on the track, including in the mile, 10K, 1500, and relays, and captured conference scoring performances in both men’s and women’s events.

Before her collegiate coaching career, Koblitz spent six years at Nolensville High School in Tennessee, where she built both the cross country and track programs from the ground up. She guided her athletes to consistent state championship appearances, including a third-place finish at the 2021 TSSAA State Track & Field Championships.

On the international stage, Koblitz served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the 2022 World Maccabiah Games in Israel, where her athletes earned multiple medals. She also competed in the Games, winning gold, silver, and bronze across three events.

A decorated runner herself, Koblitz has continued to excel post-collegiately, qualifying for the Boston Marathon and achieving multiple podium finishes at major marathons and road races. She holds personal bests of 2:49 in the marathon and 16:46 in the 5K.

A native of Georgia, Koblitz was a scholarship cross country and track athlete at the University of Georgia, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics education. She is also USATF Level 1 Coaching Certified.
