In his second season at UNLV, Aresco helped guide the Rebels to a 31-22 overall record and an 18-7 mark in Mountain West play, earning a second-place conference finish. The Rebels recorded four conference series sweeps during the 2026 season, including a three-game sweep of in-state rival UNR to close the regular season. Under Aresco's direction, freshman Lauren Fettic was named the 2026 Mountain West Pitcher of the Year, becoming the first UNLV pitcher to earn the honor since 2007 and the first under head coach Kristie Fox. Fettic also earned First Team All-Mountain West honors, while Yanina Sherwood was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week following UNLV's late-season sweep of UNR.
Aresco joined the UNLV softball staff as the program's pitching coach prior to the 2025 season. During Aresco's first season in Las Vegas, freshman Yanina Sherwood emerged as the leader of the Rebels' pitching staff, posting a team-best 3.88 ERA with 13 wins, 97 strikeouts, 12 complete games and 171.1 innings pitched. Sherwood's performance earned her All-Mountain West Honorable Mention recognition, one of four Rebels to receive postseason conference honors in 2025.
Before arriving in Las Vegas, Aresco most recently spent three seasons at Lamar University where he helped reestablish the Cardinals as a contender in the Southland Conference. Aresco joined the Cardinals’ staff as pitching coach prior to the 2022 season before being promoted to Recruiting Coordinator in 2023 and Associate Head Coach in 2024. The Cardinals made significant strides during Aresco’s three seasons, increasing their win total each year while lowering their team ERA from an inherited 8.07 to 3.02 in 2024.
Aresco was responsible for recruiting and developing standout pitchers Emma Wardlaw and Karyana Mitchell, who pitched to 2.06 and 2.41 ERAs, respectively, in 2024 while allowing only five home runs and 50 walks over 255.1 innings pitched between the two. Mitchell’s season also included a no-hitter against Texas A&M-Commerce and two SLC Pitcher of the Week awards, while Wardlaw’s season was highlighted by a nine-inning complete-game shutout over North Dakota. In 2023, senior Aaliyah Ruiz led the staff with a 3.26 ERA and finished her career as the all-time strikeout leader at Lamar with 351 career strikeouts, including 202 during Aresco’s tenure.
Aresco also made a significant impact as recruiting coordinator, acquiring transfers such as 2024 SLC Newcomer of the Year Shenita Tucker and 2025 SLC All-Defensive Team third baseman Trinity Brandon. His recruiting efforts also included future standouts Sicily Windham, the 2026 SLC All-Defensive Team shortstop, and Isabella Flores, the 2026 SLC Freshman of the Year.
 Prior to LU, Aresco was an assistant coach at Charlotte for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, helping lay the groundwork for one of the most successful stretches of growth in program history. 2021 was a breakout season for Charlotte. The 49ers captured the Conference USA East Division Championship for the first time in program history behind the production of C-USA Player of the Year Bailey Vannoy, who led the nation in doubles with 23. The 49ers also had two C-USA first-team, two second-team and two all-freshman team recipients while setting program records for home runs, doubles and RPI.
In Aresco’s first season, the 49ers improved their overall record from an inherited 15-35 to 14-13 in the pandemic-shortened season. Catcher Bailey Vannoy had a standout sophomore campaign batting .480 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI, both of which ranked first in the nation. Charlotte’s team ERA went down by almost two runs from the previous year.

 Aresco served on staff at Ole Miss as a graduate assistant during its 41-win campaign in 2019, working closely with Ashley Chastain to develop the pitching staff in addition to helping with scouting and game analysis. Senior Brittany Finney enjoyed a breakout campaign, going 18-10A with a 2.70 ERA and accumulating 129 strikeouts against just 31 walks in 147.2 innings pitched for the Rebels. In his lone season on staff, Ole Miss accumulated 14 victories against top-25 opponents and finished No. 15 in the NFCA final rankings, culminating in a Super Regional appearance.

 Before heading to the South, Aresco spent four seasons as an undergraduate student manager with Oregon’s softball program under head coach Mike White. During Aresco’s four seasons with the program, Oregon compiled a 206-36 record, captured Pac-12 Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2018, and advanced to the NCAA Women’s College World Series three times.

 Aresco, a decorated men’s fastpitch player, has competed internationally in seven ISC World Championships, highlighted by top-10 finishes with the A1 Bombers in 2015 and 2016 as well as an ISC II All-Tournament Team selection in 2021 with the Ostrander Norsemen. Aresco also earned four All-World Team selections at the NAFA World Series and won the NAFA Men’s 23U World Series Championship in 2016 while serving in a dual role as player and coach for the Boston Seadogs. In 2017, he competed in the European Super Cup in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Aresco has also spent time with USA Softball, representing his country as a utility player for the 2018 USA Men’s 23U Futures Team after three years in the 19U Jr. Men’s National Team program as a pitcher and utility player.

 A native of Stoneham, Massachusetts, Aresco is a 2018 University of Oregon graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in general social science. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Ole Miss in 2019.
